This is our table top project TP39 titled "golden cloud". It is an absolute rarity. It is a copper beech slice of truly gigantic proportions from a park near Stuttgart, which was sawed by us on site.

The dimensions are spectacular, about 7,2 ft x 53 inch x 3,2 inch

Unfortunately, this ancient tree had to be cut down for safety reasons, because it had a twig trunk growth that was already cracked and threatened to tear apart. We were able to saw open the trunk on site and then put it in storage to dry. After about 5 years of air drying, this piece went into the kiln at the end of 2022 and could then be processed. From about summer 2022 to November 2022, I was already working on this exceptional tabletop. Currently, the blank is completely cast and can be finished. For the finished processing I assume about 1/2 to 3/4 year duration. The base frame can be selected or made individually, I will be happy to make suggestions as soon as I know what your wish/dream scenario looks like. Every single step/process has been and will be documented by me via video and photos.

I am sure that this piece will find its lover....

So (following photo cropped black) you can imagine the piece ready oiled, but here are still missing the cracks that were filled with epoxy resin. This photo was taken immediately after the pane was freshly sawn, because everything still shines wet you can already guess how it will look later after oiling...
