Above you can see the result of this action. We have created a separate wood store for these beautiful oak planks, among other things.

In March 2024, I was able to saw this beautiful oak trunk into blanks for table tops in a wooded area near Nuremberg. The trunk had been blown over by the wind and the owner didn't want to simply saw it into firewood as it was (fortunately) too valuable for him. It was about 15m long and about 50-60 cm in diameter.

In total it took me 1 day and then another 2 hours on a 2nd day. The planks that came out had lengths between 330 and 380 cm and widths of up to 60 cm. As there was no precise purpose for their later use, I sawed them to a thickness of approx. 7.6 cm in consultation with the customer. This will later make sensational table tops, bar counters, kitchen counters or even solid shelving systems...

The beautiful wood is now allowed to air dry in peace before it is placed in a drying chamber before use. It should be left to air dry for at least 4 years, preferably even up to 6-8 years.
