Our table top No.TP 57 - a very special piece. This is a rather narrow dining table made of bush-hammered walnut - it was made in comission for a family from the USA. The tree comes from Horb am Neckar near Stuttgart (germany) and was sawn up and removed by us from a private garden there many years ago. This table top was very difficult to work as the pieces had warped considerably during the drying process. We then decided to fill/level out these irregularities at three corners with transparent epoxy resin. The work was immensely time-consuming, but the result speaks for itself....
The table is approx. 250cm/8,2 ft long and a maximum of 76 cm/30 Inches wide. It was filled/finished with epoxy resin in black and transparent. The surface was first impregnated with hard oil and then polished with hard wax oil.
