A not-so-small side table or even coffee table made from a solid slice of copper beech. The tree stood in a private property in the middle of Stuttgart and had to be felled for reasons of danger. We carried out the job ourselves and removed the tree from above using the climbing technique.
We were then able to saw some of the large trunk sections into slices on site. This is now one of the larger slices and the first one we were able to finish as a table top. It is about 70 x 45 cm in size and approx. 6 cm thick. Some areas were slightly stony but everything was still solid, which makes this piece even more unusual than its spectacular shape alone.
