Here is another beautiful example of our work that we are proud to show: Imagine you have inherited a house from your grandparents that has been empty for many years and that you now want to sell. There is a large walnut tree in the garden that you have known well since childhood and to which you are emotionally attached. It now has to be cut down because the neighbors are annoyed by the leaves etc., the walnut tree is structurally damaged etc... but you at least want to have a table made from it as a nice reminder.

This is the story of this walnut tree. It was about 60 cm in diameter and this is exactly the kind of project we specialize in. We had to remove the tree using climbing techniques (often abseiling) because a power line, two hedges and the house were "in the way". We then used our mobile sawmill to saw it on site into sensational planks for the future dining table. We were able to saw out pieces approx. 330 cm long and up to 60 cm wide, all approx. 7.6 cm thick and weighing approx. 120-150 kg (sau-...). Now the wood has to air dry for at least 3 years before it goes into the obligatory drying chamber. Then the table can be made from it.
