A masterpiece of nature crafted from a single piece of solid oak—built to last for generations
My TP1 dining table is no ordinary table. It is the sculptural centerpiece of your home or office. Designed by nature, it features a monolithic tabletop made of solid, organically shaped oak, crafted entirely by hand in my workshop near Stuttgart.
The Material:
This piece of oak is now over 11 years old. The tree stood in the Stuttgart-Süd forest and was felled by the forestry office in the winter of 2013/2014. Shortly thereafter, I was able to cut it into these unique table blanks on-site using my own sawmill. What made this special was that these logs were lying in the forest just a few hundred meters from my apartment, which meant I could even take my lunch break at home. While I was sawing, neighbors would stop by from time to time—it was always nice—and sometimes they even helped out or took a few photos. There are only a few of these one-of-a-kind table blanks in total.
The Craft:
Only after many years of drying was this one-of-a-kind table created through countless hours of genuine handcrafting.
Its natural beauty served as the foundation; all edges were gently smoothed, and the surface was meticulously refined through numerous sanding passes and carefully protected with hard oil—you simply have to touch this table.
A One-of-a-Kind Piece: Made to Last
Pure solid wood—a genuine piece of nature. It absorbs the marks of time and gains character. It’s easy to care for, and if a few scratches do appear after years of heavy use, even these can be refinished many times if necessary, restoring it to its flawless condition from the very first day.
