The Material:
The walnut used for this piece comes from a private garden near Stuttgart, where I was able to cut it into fabulously beautiful table blanks many years ago. My customers then selected the two pieces for this one-of-a-kind table themselves from my warehouse in Leinfelden, near Stuttgart. Before processing, the walnut was dried to the perfect moisture content in the required drying chamber.
The Craft:
This one-of-a-kind dining table, crafted from European walnut sourced locally, was meticulously handcrafted at Patrick Herrmann’s table workshop in Stuttgart. The two matching planks were painstakingly joined by hand, following their natural shape, and mounted on a stainless steel frame with a visible gap between them. The surface has been treated with hard oil to make it robust and durable, making the table perfectly suited for everyday use.

This exclusive walnut dining table now stands in the home of its happy owners in Esslingen, near Stuttgart, and will surely bring just as much joy to their children as it did to their parents. Measuring approximately 240 x 100 x 4.5 cm / 7,8 feet x 39 x 1,8 Inches, it's also ideal for larger family gatherings.
