Info: A truly special dining table, crafted from a single, massive log of an ancient red oak with a natural edge. This tree—a designated natural monument—originated in a castle garden in Stuttgart-Hohenheim, with a documented planting date of 1820! Many years ago, I was able to cut this log myself in that park using my mobile sawmill. The tabletop was meticulously handcrafted in my Stuttgart furniture workshop and treated with organic hard oil to create a durable yet low-maintenance surface. The steel base was custom-selected to match; for the photo, we chose a sturdy cross-braced base made of solid steel with an industrial look. Sitting at this table definitely makes a difference...it now stands in the home of its happy owner in an apartment in Pleidelsheim near Stuttgart.
