Heartwood formation: yes, the trumpet tree is a true heartwood tree

Psychological correspondence: according to European Fengshui, everything indicates that, like the bluebell tree, it is a woody plant that belongs to the transformation phase of early summer or southeast. The main themes of this section in the 8-part wheel of life are togetherness, love and everything that has to do with romance. It is mainly there to give pleasure, to be admired and to make happy.

Properties / Usage: Resistant to mold. Distinct contrast between the light brown heart and whitish sapwood posts, fence posts and railroad ties outdoors. Interior furniture, jewelry, sculpture, bowls, handles and other decorative objects.

Value/availability: not commercially available in Europe (is rather an exception), valuable

Pruning time in arboriculture: in summer (from about May to August), after full leaf sprout

compartmentalization behavior: unknown

Pruning and wound closure: according to current guideline ZTV Baumpflege, before branch ring up to (as far as possible) max. 10 cm diameter, no wound closure (as ineffective).
