Characteristics: coarse-textured decorative wood, very durable outdoors
heartwood formation: yes the robinia is a true heartwood tree
Psychological correspondence: the flower essences are said to have calming and regenerating properties. The essence of the Robinia can help in partner problems to find the right way between separation and adaptation. It strengthens self-confidence, self-assurance and self-esteem. It has an encouraging and uplifting effect on people who feel resigned and no longer believe in the good.
Properties/Use: Exterior construction, piling, fences, playground construction, hop poles, heavy duty construction lumber, earthwork, hydraulic engineering, bridges, water mills, gardening and landscaping, sports equipment, tool styles, railroad ties, mine timber, rake teeth, wood screws, carpenter's nails, wooden ladders, roof shingles, barrel wood (especially for brandy), parquet flooring, staircase construction, house doors, windows, tower roof chairs, sliced veneers, furniture construction (especially tables, benches ... ), upscale furnishing wood, turning and carving wood, flooring for livestock stables, wainwrighting, wagon construction, shipbuilding (frames, sterns, elbows, ribs, rudder tiller. .), mechanical engineering (roll pin bearings, wheel combs, ..)
Value/availability: rather rare to medium available, nevertheless relatively cheap wood
Cutting time in arboriculture: in summer (from about May to August), after full leaf sprout
Partitioning behavior: very good
Cut and wound closure: according to current guidelines ZTV Baumpflege, before knot ring up to (as far as possible) max. 10 cm diameter, no wound closure (as ineffective)
