Tree slice table blank, oak
No.: EI 386
Diameter: 175-135 cm/5,7 – 4,4 feet
Thickness: 10 cm/3,9 Inches
Wood type: oak
Origin: 70599 Stuttgart (ancient park) – planted in 1856
Felled: 13.08.2020 (storm-felled)
Description: this oak trunk is storm-felled, i.e. it fell by itself due to damage to its root system during a storm. The tree stood in a botanical garden at a university near Stuttgart. The tree disc EI 386 is the largest disc from this trunk and is ideal for use as a dining table or desk/conference table. The planting date is documented as 1856. This historic piece is as unusual as it is impressive and will be a gem as a table. For this purpose, I will work with epoxy resins for refinement and composition, preferably in black and gold. This rarity will certainly become an heirloom. As an absolutely exceptional piece, it exudes prestige and individuality as well as an impressive feel-good atmosphere.
The following photos show additional oak slices from this ancient trunk with a diameter of approximately 125-135 cm/49-53 Inches.
