Description: This is currently the largest and most unique piece in my inventory. I was able to saw this disc out of the rootstock myself. This ancient red beech tree, steeped in history, comes from a university garden near Stuttgart and had to be felled for safety reasons, which was done at the time by the Stihl company. This natural monument has an impressive aura of strength, size, and elegance that is unique in the world. The piece is not for sale as a blank and can only be purchased from me as a table commission. The table will be finished with black and gold epoxy resin and transformed into a work of art that is second to none. The base could be a custom solution made of solid steel, marble, and/or a combination of these materials. I estimate the production time to be approximately one year.
Intended use: ideal as a meeting and presentation table for the boardroom of a large corporation, in a royal household, for a president, etc...this is the piece for the job.
The following photo, taken on sawing day in March 2017, shows the colors as they will appear later on the finished oiled table. This photo is of a slightly smaller slice from this log. In the meantime, natural cracks have formed, transforming this slice into a work of art with black and gold epoxy resin.
