This dining table made of bush-hammered walnut has my number TP 57. It is a very special piece. This is a rather narrow dining table made of bush-hammered walnut, made to order. The tree comes from Horb am Neckar near Stuttgart and was sawn up and removed by me from a private garden there many years ago. The challenge with this table top was very great, as the pieces had warped considerably during the drying process and the stumpy areas were also difficult to work with. After consulting with the customer, I decided to fill in/level out these irregularities at three corners with transparent epoxy resin. The work was immensely time-consuming, but the result speaks for itself....
The table is approx. 250 cm/8,2 feet long and a maximum of 76 cm/30 Inches wide. It was filled/finished with epoxy resin in black and transparent. I first impregnated the surface with hard oil and then polished it with hard wax oil.
The base frame was provided by the customer and goes very well with this extraordinary dining table.
