Info: Made entirely by hand from a single large oak plank, which was cut in the middle and turned through 180° so that the tree edges face inwards. This oak table top was then filled with an epoxy resin inlay in black and gold with a spectacular look. The resin work for this “river table” was extremely time-consuming, but the final pattern turned out sensational and absolutely unique. In the meantime, I have tried to recreate this, but have only been able to approximate this pattern in about 20 attempts. This table top is a real eye-catcher, especially the very fine, lighter sapwood area between the resin layer and the typical warm brown tone of the oak heartwood emphasizes the whole thing even more. I also specially selected the base for it and had to wait three months for delivery. The feeling on the day we were able to exhibit this extraordinary piece in this equally extraordinary 4-star plus hotel was magnificent.
