This fantastically beautiful solid beech tree edge table comes from a piece of a huge, ancient beech tree. The tree was actually a natural monument and stood in a park near Stuttgart, but it had to be felled in 2016/2017 for reasons of danger. We were very lucky to be able to use this exceptional trunk.
I donated this table to the University of Hohenheim and it is now very popular as a meeting table in the Meisterrunde.
I still have about 1/3 of the trunk in stock, all incredibly beautiful blanks, some complete, some torn in the middle (i.e. 2-piece or with resin to form a river table), in total these pieces are enough for about 8 unique tables.
This table was made entirely by hand in my Stuttgart table manufactory for unique tables and counters. It is made from one piece and measures approx. 240 x 110 x 6 cm. Particularly spectacular is the strongly pronounced red core (the wood inside the trunk is reddish in color) which creates a strong and very warm contrast to the lighter sapwood (outer wood zone).
