This dining table, made from two large oak tree slices sawn diagonally, has the unique number TP67. The two slightly different tree slices were sawn diagonally from the same oak trunk by us a few years ago. The tree stood in the garden of my customer's family, and since we had sawn the trunk as a contract milling job, the wood already belonged to her. After sufficient air drying time and subsequent chamber drying for about 6 weeks, this elegant and extraordinary dining table was created in my workshop. The production took about 8 weeks and was done entirely by hand. The edges and larger cracks were filled with beige epoxy resin according to the customer's wishes and precisely matched. The idea for the base also came from my customer, so she can easily move the table at any time, as it is to be used in several places in the apartment and on the large terrace in summer. There is also the possibility of later repurposing (e.g., as a coffee table) if each of her two children move out and want to take half with them.
