This unusual dining table was made from the heartwood of American walnut (originally from the Karlsruhe region near Stuttgart/germany) and three very wide planks. The wood used was particularly flawless, almost veneer quality, which is absolutely exceptional. The pieces were selected by the customer in my workshop, and the top and bottom were also specified. The finished tabletop measures approx. 240 x 98 x 4 cm / 7,9 feet x 38,6 x 1,6 Inches and has been reinforced on the underside with steel ridges. All screw connections were made with threaded socks, which result in extremely strong connections and can be disassembled and reassembled as often as desired. The base frame is also made of steel, all powder-coated in black. The surface was impregnated several times with organic hard oil, making it very robust and resistant.
