This custom-made, true-to-scale African wall panel for an American client is approximately 150 cm/4,9 ft high, up to 130 cm/4,3 ft wide, and about 18 mm/0,7 Inches thick. It was constructed by gluing together slats approximately 20 cm/7,9 Inches wide made from carefully selected American walnut and finished entirely by hand. It was mounted on the wall using dowels and hooks, for which threaded sleeves were inserted into the solid walnut wood on the back, ensuring an extremely strong and durable connection. The surface has been treated several times with organic hard oil, both on the back and the front; this means that any maintenance—if any—will not be necessary for several years and, when needed, is very simple and quick to perform.
All wooden wall art pieces are one-of-a-kind, handcrafted items made from solid wood to scale. To create them, suitable solid wood pieces are glued together, the outline of the country is transferred to scale, and the piece is then sawed out, shaped, sanded, and oiled entirely by hand.
Many other motifs are also possible for pictures in this style. Sizes up to approximately 150 cm/4,9 feet in width and 2–3 m/6-10 feet in length are available.
